Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of irrigation experience with strong knowledge of irrigation systems and water management.
• Previous leadership or crew management experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills; bilingual preferred.
• Ability to read irrigation plans and identify system deficiencies.
• Comfortable using digital platforms and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead irrigation crews on residential and commercial sites.
• Diagnose issues; develop repair and installation recommendations.
• Coordinate schedules, equipment and material usage; ensure safety and quality.

Job SummaryMoon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Irrigation Foreman to lead and oversee irrigation installation, repair, maintenance, and field operations for residential and commercial properties. This leadership role is responsible for managing irrigation crews, ensuring high-quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer service while supporting operational efficiency and revenue growth.The ideal candidate has a strong background in irrigation systems, water management, crew leadership, and overall landscape and tree care operations. This individual must be highly organized, capable of leading teams in the field, and committed to upholding Moon Valley Nurseries’ standards of excellence.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupervise and lead irrigation crews on residential and commercial job sitesConduct property walkthroughs and assess irrigation system needsDiagnose irrigation issues and develop repair, upgrade, and installation recommendationsPerform and oversee field work including trenching, digging, pipe installation, valve repair, clock/timer programming, drip systems, and irrigation upgradesEnsure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company quality standardsCoordinate daily schedules, crew assignments, equipment, and material usageTrain, mentor, and develop irrigation team members on best practices, safety procedures, and company expectationsMonitor crew productivity and maintain accountability for job performance and completion timelinesCommunicate professionally with customers regarding irrigation recommendations, repairs, and project updatesMaintain accurate daily logs, field reports, and job documentation through HubSpot or similar platformsEnsure safe operation and maintenance of all tools, vehicles, and equipmentSupport sales opportunities through identification of additional irrigation and tree care service needsIdentify, qualify, and communicate sales opportunities to the Sales team, while independently assisting customers and closing sales opportunities when appropriateMaintain receipts and records for job costingAssist with profit and loss statementsCoordinate with operations and Tree Care leadership to maintain service quality and customer satisfactionThis is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. We work collaboratively and new responsibilities may be assigned over time.Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMinimum 5+ years of irrigation experience with strong knowledge of irrigation systems, irrigation clocks, water management, and landscape operationsPrevious leadership or crew management experience preferredStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsAbility to read irrigation plans and identify system deficienciesStrong communication and customer service skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferredComfortable using digital platforms, mobile applications, and reporting softwareStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyMust pass MVR, DOT, QAL, and drug screening requirementsValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent experience required.Physical requirements/Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
