Job summary

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Tree Care Maintenance Foreman to lead a small crew in providing landscape and tree care maintenance services to our residential and commercial clients.

This role is responsible for overseeing scheduled maintenance visits—including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual programs—ensuring that every property is maintained to Moon Valley's standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in tree care or related field.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train a small crew.
• Knowledge of arboriculture practices; ISA preferred.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and water management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train a maintenance crew to perform landscape and tree care.
• Execute hedge trimming, pruning, and yard maintenance tasks.
• Monitor tree health, diagnose issues, and advise treatments.
• Ensure safe use of tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain daily logs and post-visit summaries via HubSpot or similar tools.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the Moon Valley brand.
• Coordinate with leadership to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Support safety training and compliance within the crew.

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking an experienced Tree Care Maintenance Foreman to lead a small crew in providing exceptional landscape and tree care maintenance services to our residential and commercial clients. This role is responsible for overseeing scheduled maintenance visits—including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual programs—ensuring that every property is maintained to Moon Valley's standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in tree care, pruning, and irrigation, and takes pride in leading by example while delivering excellent customer service in the field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and train a small maintenance crew to perform high-quality landscape and tree care services.
• Execute hedge and shrub trimming, small tree pruning, and general yard maintenance tasks.
• Monitor and diagnose tree and plant health issues, including pests or diseases, and communicate recommended treatments to clients.
• Ensure safe and proper use of all tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and submit professional post-visit summaries through HubSpot or similar platforms.
• Provide exceptional customer service, representing the Moon Valley brand with professionalism and integrity.
• Coordinate with Tree Care leadership to ensure maintenance schedules and quality standards are met.
• Support training and safety compliance within the maintenance crew.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and train a small team.
• Knowledge of current arboriculture practices; ISA Certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of irrigation systems and water management.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Comfortable using digital tools such as HubSpot, mobile apps, or similar platforms.
• Must pass MVP, DOT, QAL, and drug screening requirements.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

High School diploma or equivalent experience

Physical requirements/Working Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to verbally exchange information with colleagues, managers, and vendors. The position is active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 75lbs. The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind. The position is expected to be full-time and may be scheduled on weekdays and weekends.
