Job summary

Terra Landscape is seeking an experienced Irrigation Field Manager to lead our Bay Area irrigation team. This hands-on role manages daily field operations, mentors technicians, ensures quality, safety, and client satisfaction across commercial properties.

The candidate will troubleshoot systems, plan improvements, and work with the Director of Operations to meet production and profitability goals. Mon–Fri, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial irrigation experience, including 1+ year in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation troubleshooting, hydraulic systems, valves, controllers, and drip irrigation.
• Experience reading irrigation plans and as-built drawings.
• Proficient with smartphones, email, and Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
• Backflow certification and recycled water experience are a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round and perform the physical demands of the position.

• Inspect irrigation systems, diagnose issues, and perform hands-on repairs when needed.
• Program and troubleshoot smart irrigation controllers and recommend water-saving improvements.
• Ensure crews consistently meet production goals and company quality standards.
• Conduct field inspections, monitor productivity, and maintain quality control.
• Communicate with clients and property managers regarding repairs, recommendations, and system performance.
• Assist with irrigation proposals, estimates, and system improvements.
• Maintain accurate records for labor, materials, inspections, and service reports.
• Promote a positive safety culture through coaching and regular safety meetings.

Position Summary

The Irrigation Field Manager is a hands‑on leader responsible for overseeing the daily field operations of the Irrigation Department. This role leads a team of Irrigation Technicians while ensuring high standards of quality, safety, efficiency, and customer service across multiple commercial properties.

The position focuses on field leadership, system troubleshooting, team development, client communication, water management, and meeting established production and profitability targets. The Irrigation Field Manager helps ensure work is completed efficiently, crews achieve billable production goals, costs are controlled, and the department contributes to the company's financial success.

Working closely with the Director of Operations and Area Managers, the Irrigation Field Manager prioritizes work, inspects completed projects, develops irrigation proposals, and ensures crews have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed.

This is a full‑time, exempt position working Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Occasional after‑hours response to irrigation emergencies may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience.
