The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking an Irrigation Specialist to design, install, and maintain irrigation and drainage systems across parks and medians. Responsibilities include installing controllers, backflows, pumps; reading blueprints; and supervising team members.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with vocational training in electrical/plumbing and 3 years of irrigation/landscape experience; valid driver's license; weekend/overtime availability.

Qualifikationen

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by vocational or technical training in electrical and plumbing trade areas; three (3) years of experience in irrigation systems, plumbing, and landscape maintenance.

Aufgaben

• Installs and repairs controllers, heads, piping, valves and valve boxes, backflow devices, wiring, and irrigation pumps.
• Repairs sprinklers, irrigation pipes, and irrigation pumps.
• Installs and maintains drainage systems, measures and cuts pipe; maintains drip irrigation systems.
• Reads blueprints to locate pipes and wires; installs and maintains irrigation systems.
• Specifies materials, prepares orders, and handles supplies.
