Irrigation Construction Technician - Denver Parks and Recreation

Denver Parks & Recreation is seeking a full-time Irrigation Construction Technician to support operations within Denver’s Water Conservation team. This position involves installing, renovating, and repairing irrigation systems for park properties, with a focus on optimizing system efficiency.

Location & Schedule

Work schedule is typically Monday – Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m., with some weekend work required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform trades work including irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair
  • Read irrigation drawings and perform construction and repairs
  • Inspect infrastructure, estimate materials and labor, complete utility locates
  • Operate equipment, maintain systems, assist in emergency repairs, and participate in park maintenance
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience with irrigation systems
  • Valid Driver's License (must be kept current)
  • Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems; knowledge of Toro Sentinel system preferred
