Job summary

BrightView Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Irrigation Leadman in Jacksonville, FL. You will be responsible for detecting and repairing irrigation system issues, reading gauges, and overseeing field production while ensuring equipment is properly maintained.

The role requires leadership, the ability to operate equipment per safety regulations, and strong communication. Outdoor work in high temperatures is expected; bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of irrigation or related experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Knowledge of blueprints or irrigation layouts is a plus.
• Spanish bilingualism is a plus.
• Irrigation certification is a plus.
• Ability to work in extreme heat and direct sunlight.
• Ability to load/unload trailers up to 50 lbs and operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

You’d be responsible for:

• Detecting and making necessary repairs to the irrigation system
• Accurately reading various gauges related to the irrigation system
• Managing employees and overseeing production in the field
• Operating light/heavy equipment effectively and according to all regulations
• Ensuring that equipment is maintained and managed; alert supervisors if there are any issues
• Reporting any problems with job site or equipment immediately
• Demonstrating role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promoting Company culture

You might be a good fit if you have:

• Minimum of 2 year of experience

And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:

• Strong work ethic
• Knowledge of blueprints
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Irrigation certification
• Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
• Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
• Ability to load/unload trailers (up to 50 lbs.)
• Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
• Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
• Work near or about natural bodies of water
• Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (some overtime/weekend work required)
