Job summary

Sunrise Irrigation in Florida is seeking an Apprentice to develop skills in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair. This role provides hands-on training under experienced technicians with the goal of progressing to a technician role.

The apprentice will gain exposure to system components, learn safety practices, and work with customers while aligning with local codes and company standards. A strong, proactive attitude and willingness to learn are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Strong interest in learning about irrigation systems.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and apply new techniques.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced technicians with installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems.
• Observe and learn system design and layout according to standards, design specifications and local codes.
• Participate in training sessions to build technical skills and industry knowledge.
• Complete written and practical assessments of job skills.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and installation logs.
