Job summary

Corning Incorporated in Durham, NC is hiring a Material Handler for the Day Shift to load and unload product pallets for sterilization, following SOPs and dosimetry placement.

You will operate forklifts, monitor conveyors, document loads, and help maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping in the irradiator operations area.

Candidates need a high school diploma and 6–12 months in manufacturing or warehouse work; starting wage ranges from $19.25 to $22.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 to 12 months of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product pallets for irradiation following the loading diagram.
• Inspect, place, and document dosimeters throughout each lot.
• Safely operate the irradiator, conveyors and supporting equipment.
• Accurately counts and records the number of cases loaded and unloaded.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Irradiator Operations area.
• Observe safety, environmental and quality system procedures.
