A prominent medical center in Ohio is seeking a Rehabilitation Team Member to provide patient assessments, establish care plans, and coordinate with a dedicated rehabilitation team. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred, and relevant professional licenses. Experience in a medical setting is ideal. Rehabilitation team members are licensed or certified professionals (physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, social workers or therapeutic recreation specialists) who work within a specific team structure to offer inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation services. These services are offered to the acute‑care hospital, the acute inpatient rehabilitation facility (Dodd Hall), or outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, or other neurogenic disorders, orthopedic problems, burns, amputations, or chronic pain. The rehabilitation team member reports to the rehabilitation team leaders as part of the overall Rehabilitation Services Division structure.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and establish care plans with the team.
• Provide a wide variety of treatment techniques.
• Provide education and support to families.
• Facilitate continuing care planning.
• Evaluate quality of services and participate in outcomes‑management activities.
• Coordinate with attending and resident physicians, nurses, support staff, and Patient Care Resource Managers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s‑level degree.
• Master’s degree desired.
• All rehabilitation team members must be licensed and/or certified with the respective profession.
• Speech/language pathologists must hold master's degrees.
• Educational degrees must be from an accredited institution.
• Speech pathologists must hold a Ohio license and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC/SLP).
• Licensed professionals must be cleared through the National Database of Practitioners.
• Typically one to two years of experience working in a medical setting is preferred.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
