A leading healthcare provider is seeking licensed rehabilitation team members who are committed to delivering high-quality care. This role involves working collaboratively within a team to help patients recover from various medical conditions through inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. The ideal candidates will have strong interpersonal and technical skills, along with a commitment to continuing education and professional excellence.
Rehabilitation team members are licensed or certified professionals (physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech/language pathologists, social workers, or therapeutic recreation specialists) who work within a specific team structure to offer inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation services. These services are provided to patients in acute-care hospitals, the acute inpatient rehabilitation facility (Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital), or outpatient service sites, primarily for conditions such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, neurogenic disorders, orthopedic problems, burns, amputations, or chronic pain. The rehabilitation team members report to the rehabilitation team leaders as part of the overall Rehabilitation Services Division.
Each team member contributes to a collaborative care effort within a continuous performance improvement environment. They assess patients, develop care plans, implement treatment techniques, provide education and support to families, and facilitate ongoing care planning. They evaluate service quality and participate in outcomes management activities. While reporting to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, supervisees (rehab assistants and aides), and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care, including physicians, nurses, support staff, and case managers, to ensure coordinated services. Team members embody the organization's values to guide their interactions.
Minimum Qualifications
All rehabilitation team members must be licensed and/or certified in their respective professions (e.g., physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, social work, therapeutic recreation) and meet the educational and certification requirements established by their careers. Physical therapists must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Candidates who have completed a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY/SLP) may be considered. All licensed professionals must be cleared through the National Database of Practitioners.
Typically, one to two years of experience in a medical setting is preferred for all professionals hired.
Professionals must maintain their licensure, demonstrate a commitment to continuing education, meet mandatory education and health requirements, and show competence in the technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills necessary to perform essential job functions.
