The Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Physical Therapist is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team-oriented sports medicine rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients with disorders and conditions primarily related to orthopedic and sports injuries. The sports medicine team members report to the rehabilitation team leader as part of the OSU Sports Medicine program structure.
The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist works under the general supervision of the Director of Sports Medicine and the direct supervision of the Sports Medicine Rehab Team Leader. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients according to Ohio laws and regulations governing physical therapy practice. Team members report directly to a team leader but are also responsible to each other, including those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and other participants involved in patient care.
Practices within the Medical Center's policies and procedures, adhering to the Intensive Caring Value statements through positive patient/guest relations, effective interactions with staff, and meeting developmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications
All Physical Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training Board.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
