Job summary

Mass General Brigham Home Care, Inc. seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic procedures with emphasis on CT and cardiac imaging, under supervision, delivering high-quality exams for patients across ages.

Responsibilities include verifying the correct exam, reviewing images, obtaining necessary waivers, and collaborating with physicians and interdepartmental staff. Requires an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT registration preferred, BLS, and 2–3 years CT experience

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required.
  • ARRT registration preferred and BLS certification preferred.
  • 2–3 years CT experience preferred.

  • Coordinate with physicians and staff; obtain waivers and forms as applicable.

Overview

Under the guidance of the supervisor, performs all diagnostic procedures with knowledge of pertinent and academic areas to produce consistent, high-quality exams. Works effectively with patients and physicians and maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental personnel. Prioritizes the patient and to put forth the utmost quality as a technologist. May perform necessary procedures on patients in all age groups. This position requires Patient Care.

Essential Functions
  • Perform cardiac and CT interventional procedures
  • Assist the other technologists during procedures
  • Ensure the proper exam is being administered to the patient; consult provider as needed
  • Review images and studies for proper identification and quality
  • Check patient history and obtain appropriate waivers and forms, if applicable
  • Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
  • Provide educational in-services to staff, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants
Education

Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology required

Licenses and Credentials
  • Radiologic Technologist and Technician [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
  • Registered Technologist [R.T.(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
  • Computed Tomography (ARRT) [R.T.(CT)(ARRT)] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
  • Radiologic Technologist and Technician [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
Experience

CT experience; will consider graduates of a formal Radiologic Technology Training program with required license and registration. 2-3 years preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with information management subsystem software and CT imaging software
  • Ability to use computers and computer systems, set up functions, enter data, or process information
  • Effective communication with others
  • Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to the job
  • Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, transcription, and workplace terminology

  • Min: $72.00
  • Mid: $80.00
