Job summary

Turner Industries Group in Cameron, LA is seeking an Ironworker to join a crew that raises and secures girders, columns and other structural steel elements for large-scale projects. The position involves following procedures, working under a foreman, and performing safety-conscious tasks on site.

Ideal candidates have high school education and 1–4 years of experience with ironworking tools, rigging, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• One to four years of experience in ironworking (depending on level).
• Knowledge of ironworker tools and how to use them.
• Rigging skills including wire rope slings.
• NCCER preferred.

Responsibilities

• Off loads deliveries of structural material from the fabricator and sets up hoisting equipment.
• Raises and places structural-steel members and aligns holes for bolting.
• Signals and guides hoisting equipment to position members.
• Ensures safe operation and proper alignment during assembly.
