Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an ironworker to plan, lay out, install, assemble and erect steel components according to plans, specifications and industry standards. You may also erect metal storage tanks and prefabricated buildings.

Responsibilities include rigging with cranes, aligning and bolting components, and welding where required to complete structures. A focus on safety and teamwork is essential on this dynamic site.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience working as an ironworker or similar craft.
• Strong working knowledge of the Ironworker craft.
• Experience in erection of all types of steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, bend, assemble, and erect steel per plans and specs.
• Rig steel members for crane hoisting and connect members.
• Bolt-up connections; align holes; verify vertical and horizontal alignment; weld alterations as needed.
