Sundt Construction is seeking a skilled craftsperson to assist in planning, layout and performance of structural steel erection and fabrication. You will work under supervision, handling related trades as required, and you must follow safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• One–two years’ experience in industrial/construction industry.
• NCCER Core Curriculum and/or a High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
• Produce high-quality work, safely and productively at all times.
• Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
• Look for opportunities for improvement in all tasks, means and methods regarding the work and be willing to learn from others.
• Learn and understand all safety hazards related to the work.
• Effective Math skills – add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Learn to safely and effectively use or operate work related tools and equipment.
• Eliminate WASTE such as waiting, rework, transporting, material storage and time.
• If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices, ask a supervisor before continuing.
