Job summary

Stinger Bridge & Iron is seeking Ironworkers to establish and install steel frames for building projects. The company operates from its Coolidge, Arizona facility and serves the Southwestern bridge and highway market, erecting work across AZ, CA, NV, NM, TX and CO.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, unloading and staging iron/steel, signaling crane operators, cutting, bending, welding, aligning, bolting, and installing metal decking.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field.
• Must pass per‑employment drug test.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions.
• Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel for lifting.
• Signal crane operators who lift and position iron and steel.
• Cut, bend, and weld using shears, torches, and hand tools.
• Align iron and steel vertically and horizontally.
• Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or welds.
• Install metal decking.

POSITION SCOPE:

Stinger Bridge & Iron is seeking Ironworkers positions that will specialize in establishing and installing steel or iron frames meant for the construction of a building and other structures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, and other instructions
• Unload and stack prefabricated iron and steel so that it can be lifted with slings
• Signal crane operators who lift and position structural and reinforcing iron and steel
• Use shears, rod‑bending machines, torches, hand tools, and welding equipment to cut, bend, and weld the structural and reinforcing iron and steel
• Align structural and reinforcing iron and steel vertically and horizontally, using tag lines, plumb bobs, lasers, and levels
• Connect iron and steel with bolts, wire, or welds
• Install metal decking

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an apprenticeship or experience in the field
• Ability to pass per‑employment drug‑test
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds
