Job summary

On Time Fab, Inc. seeks full-time Millwrights and Ironworkers with 5+ years of experience in industrial facilities or commercial construction.

You will receive and implement supervisor instructions, follow OSHA safety standards, and perform varied duties on projects, often within 75 miles of our Owensboro office. Responsibilities include maintaining and installing machinery, reading prints, rigging, welding, and layout work.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial facility or commercial construction.
• Strong welding skills and experience with iron and structural steel.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Proficiency with rigging and safe lifting practices per OSHA.
• Excellent teamwork and communication; able to work in varied conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, repair, and assemble machinery according to layout plans, blueprint, and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Knowledge of print reading for fabrication and installation.
• Knowledge of use with hand tools, power tools, precision tools, shop equipment, and man lifts.
• Use of hoisting equipment, rigging, chain falls, come-a-long, fork truck, and signaling of operator.
• Welding and layout; air tools; hydraulics and piping.
• Use of PPE, LOTO, safe work ethics; hot work and drug-free policy.
• Able to work in extreme conditions; lift up to 50 lbs; climb ladders and stairs.
• Possess math skills and diagnose/repair machinery; align shafts and machines.
• Jobs usually within 75 miles from Company's main office.

Role Description On Time Fab is looking for full-time, highly-skilled Millwrights and Ironworkers with a minimum of 5 years’ experience within an industrial facility or commercial construction projects. Applicants must have the ability to receive, follow and implement instructions given to them from their immediate Supervisor. Safety is a priority and applicants must follow all OSHA standard safety regulations. Job duties listed below are a requirement for this position and subject to change based on the specific needs of each individual project.

Job Duties:

• Maintain, install, repair, and assemble machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprint, and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Knowledge of print reading for fabrication and Installation.
• Knowledge of use with hand tools, power tools, precision tools, shop equipment, and man lifts.
• Use of hoisting equipment, (Rigging, chain falls, come-a-long, fork truck, and signaling of operator).
• Use of cutting torch, welding, and lay-out.
• Air tools, familiar with hydraulics, piping.
• Use of PPE, LOTO, safe work ethics, hot work, drug free and good communication skills.
• Able to work in any condition. Extreme hot, cold, confined spaces, tight areas, kneeling.
• Lift up to 50lbs. climb ladders, stairs.
• Possess math skills.
• Diagnose, make repairs.
• Alignment of shafts, couplings, machinery, leveling and anchoring of various types of machinery and equipment.
• Able to work 12 hr shifts or more as conditions warrants.
• Perform other duties assigned or required by supervisor.
• Jobs usually within 75 miles from Company's main office.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong welding skills and experience working with iron and structural steel in industrial or commercial environments.
• Proficiency with power tools and fabrication equipment used for cutting, drilling, grinding, and assembling metal components.
• Knowledge of rigging techniques and safe practices for lifting, moving, and installing heavy materials and machinery.
• Understanding and consistent use of fall protection systems and other safety equipment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and fabrication drawings.
• Previous experience as an ironworker, millwright, or in a closely related trade is highly beneficial.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working at heights or in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail, reliable work habits, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications in welding, rigging, or safety training are a plus.
• Hold an OSHA 10 Card.
• Must be punctual for Job Start times at Customer Site.
• Company requires a minimum personal tool list.
