Job Description - Ironworker Foreperson (NOT004G)

Position Summary

The foreperson must have the ability to direct employees, review and interpret drawings and specifications, instruct skilled mechanics to ensure work meets requirements, be familiar with the jobsite safety plan, enforce safe practices, conduct safety training, understand assigned work, and ensure all work meets or exceeds standards. Responsibilities also include preparing and submitting timesheets, safety reports, quality and quantity reports, planning work, taking responsibility and accountability for their crew, motivating employees, and supporting their supervisor in performing their duties effectively.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct employees and crew.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for their crew.
  • Read blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, including location, quantities, and sizes of materials required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience.
  • Supervisory experience (preferred).
