Position Summary

This role involves selecting equipment, planning layout assembly, welding, and installation.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit components for installation.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, submerged arc, or gas welding techniques.
• Hoist equipment and tools into position using rigging or cranes.
• Verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members using plumb bobs, laser equipment, transits, and levels.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts following blueprints and supervisor instructions.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces using metal shears, torches, and welding equipment.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the industrial construction/maintenance industry.
• NCCER Certified Plus.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Understanding of MSDS sheets in coordination with management/supervision.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be able to perform physical tasks including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, and other repetitive motions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
