Job summary

Worley in Texas (La Porte area) is seeking an experienced welder for industrial construction and maintenance projects. You will lay out, align, and weld structural components on site, following blueprints and safety guidelines.

The role requires handling heavy equipment, rigging, and precise alignment using lasers and levels. Work involves setting up welding equipment, reading blueprints, and performing cutting, bending, and welding of iron and steel parts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in industrial construction or maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety rules and MSDS sheets.
• Physically capable of climbing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and fit components for installation.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using arc, submerged arc, or gas welding.
• Hoist equipment and tools into location via riggings or crane.
• Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural-steel members with plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Connect columns, beams, and girders with bolts per blueprints.
• Cut, bend, and weld iron/steel pieces with appropriate tools.
