Job summary
99brightminds is seeking an IRIS System Engineer to design, implement, and support InterSystems IRIS for Health solutions and related healthcare integration platforms. The role focuses on interoperability, data transformation, API development, and infrastructure support to ensure secure, reliable data exchange across systems.
Responsibilities include building ETL processes, HL7/FHIR/CDA/X12 interfaces, data modeling, terminology mappings, and API management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- IRIS certification: InterSystems IRIS Certified Specialist/Health Certified Professional/Developer Professional.
- 3–5+ years in healthcare integration and interoperability.
- Hands-on experience with InterSystems IRIS for Health.
- Experience implementing HL7, FHIR, CDA, and X12 interoperability standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain IRIS for Health solutions.
- Develop ETL processes to ingest data into FHIR resources.
- Build interfaces using HL7 v2/v3, FHIR, CDA, X12.
- Ensure data exchange across partner APIs and ecosystems.
- Create data mappings to transform non-FHIR data to FHIR formats.
- Design FHIR-based data models for downstream systems.
- Implement terminology mappings (SNOMED CT, ICD-10, LOINC).
- Develop backend services, APIs, databases, and business logic.
- Maintain RESTful and SOAP web services; configure API Manager.
- Build batch processes; troubleshoot integration issues.
- Maintain documentation; support security/compliance.
