Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking an Electronic Technician 3 to join the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) Cell in Rolling Meadows, IL. You will perform routine testing, troubleshooting, and environmental tests on production hardware, following schematics and defined plans.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with 4+ years of electronics experience, plus proficiency with oscilloscope, DVM, and SAP MES. A US Government Secret Clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least 4 years of electronics experience troubleshooting complex circuits.
• Experience using measuring and monitoring equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, multimeters, probes.
• Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing, troubleshooting, environmental tests, and basic developmental engineering tasks from schematics and plans.
• Conduct fault isolation on production hardware to ensure conformance with design specifications.
• Diagnose malfunctions down to component level and collect test data as assigned.
• Operate oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators, and other test equipment as part of validation activities.
