Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking an Electronic Technician 3 to support the Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM) program. You will work from schematics, perform routine tests, and diagnose issues on production hardware.

The role requires a high school diploma with 4+ years electronics experience, ability to obtain a US Government Secret Clearance, and US citizenship. Preferred candidates may have an AS degree or military electronics training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 4+ years electronics experience.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance; US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Test, checkout, troubleshoot, and environmental tests from schematics or plans.
• Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on production hardware.
• Diagnose malfunctions to component level.
• Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data.
• Utilize oscilloscope, DVM, signal generators and similar equipment.
