Job summary

Creighton University seeks an IRB Reliance & Education Manager to oversee reliance policies, education programs, and regulatory compliance for human subjects research.

You will manage reliance agreements, coordinate sIRB and local reviews, and lead training for researchers and staff while collaborating with IRB leadership.

The role requires strong negotiation, organization, and communication skills, with experience in IRB processes and federal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Master's or JD preferred and highly regarded.
• Experience with human subjects research compliance advisable.
• Strong understanding of IRB processes and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation and execution of reliance agreements with external entities.
• Serve as primary contact for reliance agreement processes and pathways (sIRB/local).
• Analyze reliance studies and manage amendments, renewals, terminations.
• Develop and lead CU IRB education programs for researchers and staff.
• Maintain database for all reliance agreements and generate reports for leadership.
• Monitor and improve reliance agreement workflows; stay current with regulations.
• Provide consultative support and participate in AAHRPP accreditation prep.
• Conduct quarterly quality reviews of IRB minutes and determinations.
