Job summary

Nathan Kline Institute in New York is seeking an IRB Coordinator to support the human research protection program. You will help ensure compliance with IRB regulations, educate research teams on ethical conduct, and manage documentation of IRB minutes and submissions.

The role includes robust interaction with investigators, HRPP policy development, and coordination of IRB meetings, with up to 50% remote work. A BA/BS and experience in IRB processes are required.

Qualifications

• BA or BS or equivalent background and experience, preferably in life, physical or social science.
• Understanding of ethical principles and regulatory information regarding protection of human research participants (DHHS and FDA).
• Experience with IRB processes and ability to communicate complex information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-review of human subjects research submissions and prepare materials for primary reviewers.
• Facilitate full IRB review per HRPP policies, state laws, and federal regulations.
• Attend and participate in IRB Committee meetings and document outcomes.
• Maintain IRB files electronically and in hard copy, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Serve as liaison between IRB and investigators throughout proposals and study completion.
• Assist in developing HRPP policies, forms, and checklists as needed.
• Complete online trainings, webinars, and required education.
• Prepare agendas and distribute meeting minutes.
