Mercy seeks an experienced IRB Chair to provide administrative, ethical, and regulatory leadership for the institution’s human subjects protections program. The Chair presides over full-board IRB meetings, oversees protocol reviews, and guides investigators to ensure compliance with federal regulations and Belmont Report principles.

This role also mentors reviewers, aligns SOPs with DHHS and FDA regulations, and collaborates with researchers to mitigate risks while advancing ethical scientific

Formación

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific, medical, or legal discipline.
• Deep understanding of human subjects research regulations and the Common Rule.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and written communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Preside over full-board IRB meetings and facilitate consensus on complex ethical issues.
• Conduct expedited and exempt reviews, amendments, and reports with regulatory scrutiny.
• Oversee training of reviewers and ensure SOP compliance.
