Job summary

Qualified Trust Company is seeking an IRA Specialist Intern to join our Scottsdale, AZ office for a paid internship from January 2027 through April 2027. The role handles distribution requests, inquiries from participants, plan sponsors, and partners, with training provided.

You'll learn rollover IRA and trust company functions, work with MS Office tools, and communicate effectively with vendors and stakeholders in a collaborative, office-based environment.

Qualifications

• No experience required
• Bilingual speaking a plus
• Knowledge of modern office procedures and methods including telephone communications, office systems, and record keeping
• Working knowledge or ability to quickly grasp concepts of rollover IRAs and trust company functions
• Knowledge of modern business communication, including style and format of letters, emails, memorandum, minutes, and reports
• Ability to use a personal computer and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook
• Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision
• Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
• Superior organizational and prioritization skills
• Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Prepare distribution packages to account holders
• Update account holders, TPA partners, management, and plan sponsors as necessary on requests and progress
• Establish solid working relationships with all vendors and plan sponsors to ensure open and accurate communication
• Answer phone calls and emails from IRA holders
• Perform other related duties as required
