Qualifications

As ordered by a physician, performs a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in utilizing complex equipment for diagnosing and treating chronic and acute diseases. Provides care and services to patients of all ages.

  1. Applies knowledge of growth and development to appropriate care for all patients served.
  2. Operates complex radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment for vascular and invasive radiography. Performs quality control checks on equipment and support devices. Assists physicians during sterile diagnostic or invasive radiological procedures.
  3. Evaluates and positions patients with professionalism, care, courtesy, patience, and safety. Observes patients for adverse reactions and assists as necessary. Monitors physiological data and vital signs.
  4. Prepares patients for examinations, explains procedures, evaluates lab results, and relays information to physicians. Records and maintains procedural data.
  5. Handles patient processing duties, including scheduling, registration, file management, and computer processing.
  6. Performs lab tests as appropriate for the area.
  7. Participates in training students and staff as assigned.
  8. Maintains ARRT registry by obtaining required CEUs. Keeps CPR certification current. Engages in educational opportunities for personal and professional growth.
What We Require:

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.

Experience: Experience in Interventional Radiology preferred.

Licensure/Certification: ARRT registered. AHA BLS-HCP certification required.

Other: Good interpersonal and technical skills, flexibility in assignments, and knowledge of computer use.
