  • Transfers patients to imaging tables using assistive devices and maintains patient comfort and safety.
  • Ensures accurate image labeling and sends images to the PACS system; completes and bills for studies accurately.
  • Assists on special projects such as equipment evaluations or design of areas for clinical equipment installation.

Utilizes customer service skills while interacting with patients as well as family members to create a caring atmosphere during their visit. With minimal supervision, responsible for setting up for all interventional procedures in a safe and efficient manner, completing all associated paper and computer work. Additional duties may include work on special projects such as new equipment evaluations, resource manuals, assisting in the design of areas where clinical equipment will be installed, or assignment to departmental committees.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS*** Prepares room and patient specific to the exam to be performed. Arranges equipment, trays, supplies, position patients, and determine proper exposure factors to produce a high quality image.* Utilizes electronic patient information systems to verify patient name, date, appropriate exam, and any special exam specific comments from the provider.
