Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an Interventional Technologist II to support neuro-interventional, vascular and IR procedures. You will operate fluoroscopy, C-Arm and angiography equipment, maintain sterile fields, and assist physicians in a fast-paced center.

The role requires ARRT in Radiography, BLS, and 2+ years of IR or radiology experience, with on-call shifts and weekend coverage. Join a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient safety and advanced imaging care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography is required; CI/NIR certification preferred or must be obtained.
• VIR certification or experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro-interventional, vascular IR, or radiology settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for neuro-interventional, vascular and IR procedures.
• Administer contrast agents and medications under physician supervision.
• Operate imaging systems (fluoroscopy, C-Arm, angiography) for neuro-interventional and vascular IR procedures.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment and ensure proper function.
• Assist physicians with procedures by providing tools and maintaining sterile fields.
• Monitor vital signs and intervene as needed; assist in emergencies.
• Provide post-procedural instructions and follow-up care.
