Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking an Interventional Technologist II to support neuro-interventional, vascular, and IR procedures in the VIC. You will operate fluoroscopy and angiography equipment, ensure sterile technique, and assist physicians throughout complex cases.

The role requires radiologic imaging expertise, patient safety focus, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography required; CI/NIR certification preferred or must be obtained.
• VIR certification or experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for neuro-interventional, vascular and interventional radiology (IR) procedures.
• Operate imaging systems (fluoroscopy, C-Arm, angiography) and adjust settings to capture diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
• Assist physicians with procedures by providing tools, maintaining sterile fields, and monitoring patient vital signs.
• Provide post-procedural care and instructions; document procedures and follow-up information.
