Job summary

UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist who delivers expert multi‑modality imaging, ensures sterile technique, and supports team members during complex procedures across vascular, neuro, and cardiothoracic specialties.

You will operate fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and IVUS systems, assist the interventional radiologist, monitor patients, manage supplies, and document procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Sciences or equivalent.
• ARRT registration or registry-eligible with commitment to obtain registration within 1 year.
• BLS or ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures and monitor hemodynamics.
• Operate fluoroscopic, ultrasound, CT, IVUS, and other imaging equipment during procedures.
• Assist in procedures, manage sterile technique and supply logistics.
• Coordinate with anesthesia, nursing and surgical teams to maintain patient flow.
• Complete documentation and ensure proper patient and specimen handling.
• Support equipment setup, post‑procedure care, and imaging quality checks.
• Coordinate staff schedules and act as team lead as needed.
