Location: Laurinburg, North Carolina 28352
Assignment Type: Travel Nurse (locum tenens)
Healthcare Setting: Interventional Radiology (IR), with float to Cath Lab and Operating Room (OR) as needed
Start Date: August 18, 2025
End Date: November 17, 2025
Duration: 13-week contract
Shift: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (08:00 – 16:30)
Hours per Week: 40
Estimated Weekly Pay: $2280 - $2450
Charting System: EPIC
Unit Details: 3 beds, average daily census of 8

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active North Carolina or compact state RN license
Minimum 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology RN experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Certifications: ACLS and BLS (required)
Proficiency with EPIC charting strongly preferred
Willingness to float to Cath Lab and Operating Room (OR) to assist with IR procedures
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Ability to provide two professional references from the past two years

IR RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
Assist with central line insertion and management, blood product administration, and procedural sedation
Monitor patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, including vital signs and sedation levels
Circulate and assist during special procedures such as liver biopsy, lung biopsy, nephrostomy, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and chest tube placement
Administer emergency medications and manage IV infusions and vasopressors as needed
Maintain infection prevention protocols and ensure radiation and laser safety
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, radiology, and social services
Float to Cath Lab and OR as required to support interventional radiology procedures
