Job summary

Urologic Specialists of Northwest Indiana (USNI) in Schererville, IN, is seeking an Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our newest center. The RN will assess patients, develop and modify care plans for procedures with moderate sedation, and collaborate with physicians and the health care team.

Ideal candidates will have an accredited nursing degree, state RN license, BLS/ACLS, 1 year IR experience preferred, and strong EMR/HIPAA knowledge.

Qualifications

• RN license required per state.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• BSN preferred; accredited nursing program graduate.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient and procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies and regulations.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Complete patient assessment and monitoring for procedures and post-care.
• Conduct patient education before tests and follow-up as needed.
• Start and maintain IV lines.
• Coordinate with health care team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
