Job summary

Upstate Medical University in Syracuse is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform routine diagnostic procedures under supervision. The role may involve training and leading other staff as needed.

Responsibilities include identifying patient needs based on age-specific guidelines and willingly taking on additional duties as requested. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring NY licensure and ARRT certification within one year, plus CPR certification.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent is required.
• NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT certification must be obtained within one year of appointment.
• CPR certification is required.
• Registration certification for Contrast Injection must be obtained within three months of appointment.
• Minimum of one year progressive technical experience is required.

Under general supervision, performs routine diagnostic procedures and may have individual responsibility for training and leading the work of other employees, with the knowledge, intensity and responsibilities as specified on the attached Job description/Performance Review. To identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age specific needs. Willingly performs other duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

AAS in Radiologic Technology or equivalent, NYS license/registration or eligible, and ARRT (must obtain within one year of appointment), minimum of one year progressive technical experience plus current CPR certification required. Registration certification for Contrast Injection required (must obtain within 3 months of appointment).

Work Days

Primary Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm
