Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking an IR Neuro Radiologic Technologist in New York. This contract position requires an active New York State Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT certification. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic imaging, preparing patients for exams, and maintaining imaging equipment. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience and preferably experience in Interventional Radiology. Weekends and on-call duties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred.
• VIR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging using proper positioning and exposure techniques.
• Prepare and monitor patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment and report issues as needed.
• Ensure patient safety, rights, and comfort throughout procedures.
• Utilize HIS, RIS, and PACS for imaging workflow and documentation.
• Support department operations by assisting with patient transport and stocking.

IR Neuro Radiologic Technologist (Contract) – New York (14642)

Location: New York, 14642

Schedule: 4x10s, Day Shift

Includes weekends, holidays, and on-call/callback per unit needs

Call: 1–2 times per week and 1–2 weekends per month

Position Requirements:

Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license (NY ONLY)

ARRT certification required

BLS (AHA only) required

Minimum 2 years of experience required

Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred

VIR certification is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging using proper positioning and exposure techniques

Ensure patient safety, rights, and comfort throughout procedures
