Job summary

Javon Bea Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to support Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Cath Lab procedures. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, maintaining sterile technique, assisting physicians, and monitoring patients in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

The position offers a 20-hour weekly schedule with day shifts starting around 7am, and occasional weeknight calls and one weekend on-call per month. A sign-on bonus is available for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program or equivalent training for required certification/licensure.
• Board certified ARRT or eligible to take boards (must be certified within six months of hire) or Cardiac Intervention Program graduate and registry eligible (must be registered within six months).
• ACLS within six months of hire (Rockford Only) and PALS within one year (Rockford Riverside Only).

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identification and informed consent prior to procedures.
• Review allergies and history of contrast reaction.
• Prepare and maintain sterile equipment and sterile field.
• Assist physicians during procedures and monitor patient status.
• Document fluoroscopy time and radiation doses; ensure safety limits.
• Provide post-procedural care and participate in quality improvement.
