Job description

Azure Cloud & DevOps Architect Roles and Responsibilities:
IQVIA’s Integrated Health Platform (IHP) has a need for an Azure Cloud & DevOps Architect, reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, DevOps, and Support. This role will interact with enterprise architects and development teams, providing a point of ingress to the DevOps teams for both product and project SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions. This critical role will help interpret and align the platform solutions as they are onboarded and deployed into the Azure Cloud using automation and CI/CD.

The role of the DevOps Architect and Staff DevOps Engineer involves coordinating the efforts of product design and development with the more business-oriented operations and production to achieve successful new product launches.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of IHP’s infrastructure
  • Documentation: both written and visual
  • Disaster Recovery, continuity, availability
  • Deploy automation which reduces risk management and upholds the infrastructure of the organization.
  • Extensive collaboration: technical analyses, deployment, and monitoring, with the focus to enhance overall system reliability and scalability.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and best practices whilst recognizing opportunities for automation, design development, and other solutions in a comprehensive manner to boost operational efficiency.
  • Enforce and support a consolidation strategy for DevOps tools.
  • Align on the quality strategy.
  • Support secure cloud, code quality, and DevSecOps.
  • Manage build infrastructure.
  • Manage application configuration and secrets
  • Implement a container build strategy
  • Implement an appropriate deployment pattern
  • Design a dependency management strategy.
  • Manage security and compliance.
  • Design an infrastructure and configuration management strategy.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Manage Azure Kubernetes Service infrastructure.
  • Recommend and design system feedback mechanisms.
  • Implement a process for routing system feedback to development teams.
  • Optimize feedback mechanisms.

Familiarity with various automation tools for developing digital pipelines (CI/CD pipelines):

  • GitLab CI/CD

A strong infrastructure and network technology foundation:

  • TCP/IP networks, including subnets and routing.
  • Network security concepts including firewalls, IDS, and proxies.
  • Storage concepts, both traditional and cloud.
  • Performance tuning and scaling concepts.
  • Performance monitoring: proactive, reactive, and forensics.

Enterprise Architecture

Candidate with Azure certifications would be strongly considered. Job requires time zone alignment with European and US Eastern time zones, typically afternoon and evening alignment (IST). Occasional or possible travel to Bangalore and the US with advanced notice.
