Job summary

Abner Solar Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented IQC & Lab Technician to support incoming material inspections and laboratory testing at our solar cell manufacturing facility. This position focuses on material quality checks, sample testing, and maintaining accurate inspection records.

On-the-job training will be provided. The successful candidate will inspect materials, record results, assist with reliability and chemical testing, operate SOPs, and help keep the lab safe and organized.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills including Excel.
• Experience in quality inspection or lab testing is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work rotating day and night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials and supplies according to quality standards.
• Record inspection results, identify defects, and report issues.
• Assist with laboratory testing, including reliability, pull, LID, and chemical concentration tests.
• Operate laboratory equipment per SOPs and maintain records.
• Organize samples and maintain testing records and equipment checks.
• Keep the lab clean, safe, and organized per 6S and chemical handling rules.
• Report abnormal results and assist quality engineers with investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect incoming raw materials and supplies according to company quality standards.


• Record inspection results, identify defective materials, and report quality issues.


• Assist with laboratory testing, including reliability tests, pull tests, LID (Light-Induced Degradation) tests, and chemical concentration testing.


• Operate laboratory equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs).


• Maintain testing records, organize samples, and assist with laboratory equipment checks.


• Keep the laboratory clean, safe, and organized following 6S standards and proper chemical handling procedures.


• Report abnormal inspection or testing results and assist quality engineers with investigations and traceability.


• Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.


• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.


• Previous experience in quality inspection, laboratory testing, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.


• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
