Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. seeks an engineer to develop and apply processes for IPM production using specialized equipment. This fully onsite role supports production, testing, benchmarking, modification, and repair of IPMs for mass production according to product standards.

You will validate production equipment, operate to specifications, and collaborate to meet customer requirements in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of processing equipment for wire/ribbon bonding and soldering.
• 3 years of related work experience with high-volume, precision assembly.
• Ability to make quick, data-driven decisions with strong critical thinking.
• Excellent oral and written communication and people skills.
• Computer literacy with PCs and manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate IPM product processes and equipment: 40%.
• Support M/P equipment problems and develop solutions: 35%.
• Support development of technology, resource, and production requirements: 15%.
• Support new business opportunity evaluation: 5%.
• Other duties to support corporate objectives: 5%.
