The iPhone Division is seeking a talented Power & Charging Systems Engineer to join a top-notch engineering team developing next-generation iPhone products. This individual contributor role covers power management subsystems and wired/wireless charging solutions — from circuit and IC definition through thermal management and charging policy.You will work closely with Apple's internal hardware/software teams, contract manufacturer teams, and IC vendor teams across all stages of development. We expect familiarity with portable, low-power consumer electronics and a commitment to delivering high-quality, high-volume products.
As a power and charging systems engineer, you are expected to bridge analog circuit design and system-level architecture. This requires a solid understanding of power conversion topologies (switching regulators, linear regulators, switched capacitors), charging systems (wired and wireless), battery management, and high-efficiency DC-DC converters. You should also be comfortable addressing system-level challenges including power sequencing, interference mitigation, PCB layout optimization, thermal management, and digital interface design.
