Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced IPD Technical Writer to create and maintain user documentation across aerospace and defense product lines. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and product teams to understand products, capture workflows, and produce clear, user-focused manuals and guides.

This role requires familiarity with MIL-STD-40051D, S1000D, and related documentation standards, with a priority on accuracy and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated excellence generating IPD technical documentation.
• Experience writing technical user-facing documentation.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain IPD, WDM and ICA documents for aircraft interior products.
• Develop illustrations and technical graphics to support documentation.
• Analyze engineering drawings, BOMs, and change orders to extract component data.
• Convert complex CAD models into 2D line art, exploded views, and schematics.
• Author and maintain manuals in compliance with standards such as S1000D.
