Job summary

Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. is seeking a motivated Supervisor to lead hourly associates and drive team goals. You will monitor performance, ensure familiarity with duties, and provide development feedback to align with SIA’s standards.

The role includes leading Kaizen/continuous improvement activities, coordinating with IPC engineering, managing budgetary expectations, and upholding safety and quality across the plant.

Qualifications

  • Certificate/Associate degree in Organizational Leadership or willingness to obtain within two years, assigned by SIA.
  • 4+ years Supervisory/Leadership experience.
  • Willing to give and take direction.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and hold self and others accountable.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which require initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to treat others with Dignity and Respect.
  • Ability to give presentation to officers of the company.
  • Ability to lead Kaizen/Continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a positive role model for hourly associates to promote team goals.
  • Maintains familiarity with all job duties and skill levels of all Team Members and monitors events that may affect Team performance.
  • Responsible for the assessment and development of each Team Member's performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and procedures and take appropriate corrective actions, if necessary.
  • Aligns leadership styles to that of SIA's Principles and values.
  • Plans, monitors, and leads activities according to Plant and Section goals related to Safety, Quality, and productivity.
  • Interact and develop cooperation with the IPC engineering group
  • Work within established group budget
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Group Leader's Manager(s).

Job description

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years Supervisory/Leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing field with proven knowledge of equipment and process.
  • Associate's degree or above within manufacturing engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience within project management field.
