Base pay range

$26.00/hr - $35.00/hr

General Purpose:

Provide direct wound assessments and daily care to residents in the facility. Create treatment plans for residents to prevent any further problems related to wound care.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Perform wound assessment, reassessment, and management of wounds.
  • Prepare and administer medication as ordered by the physician.
  • Verify adequate supply of medications, supplies, and equipment; report needs to the Nurse Supervisor.
  • Deliver and maintain quality resident care and comfort, demonstrating current nursing practices.
  • Make rounds with physicians as necessary.
  • Review resident charts for treatments, medication orders, diets, etc.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and disorders of gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and dermal systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of wound staging system.
  • Develop skin care programs to prevent skin breakdown.
  • Coordinate and supervise patient care as needed.
  • Ensure documentation meets current standards.
  • Assist in evacuations during emergencies.
  • Work shifts as needed to maintain care quality, including rotating on-call schedules.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
