Job Summary and Responsibilities

We seek an IP Transport Engineer for our Wireless network team. You will be a key subject matter expert working with R&D, Systems engineering, and product validation teams to develop products and solutions for Wireless Carriers. Your duties include:

1. Designing, implementing, and optimizing IP/MPLS networks for high-availability transport services.
2. Configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, SR-IPv6, and MPLS-based solutions on platforms like Juniper, Ciena, Cisco.
3. Writing automation scripts using Python, Ansible, Shell.
4. Integrating network monitoring and management platforms (SNMP, NetFlow, Telemetry, SDN).
5. Conducting lab testing of network solutions, hardware, and software releases, and validating network changes to ensure minimal impact and resiliency.
6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support network initiatives.
7. Maintaining accurate network diagrams and configurations.
8. Working independently with minimal supervision is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of IP Transport experience, preferably in Telecom.
• Experience with Juniper routers and switches is highly preferred.
• Practical knowledge of routing protocols and configuring/testing transport equipment.
• Bachelor's degree in EE/CS/TE; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with IP Transport design in wireless networks.
• Deep understanding of QoS mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Netconf, YANG, RESTful APIs.
• Tier3 SME experience, supporting troubleshooting and RCA.
• Understanding of Openstack/Kubernetes and virtualized solutions.
• Knowledge of 3GPP systems is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with High Availability systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, command-line proficiency, scripting experience (Python, Shell, Ansible).
