Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture is seeking a Head of Digital Rights to lead IP and Privacy Operations. You will drive operational excellence at the intersection of law, product architecture, and leadership, guiding a multi-pillar team through scale and evolving regulatory landscapes.

You will partner with Legal, Policy, and Global teams to ensure compliant, auditable processes, implement automation, and elevate the efficiency of intake, review, and enforcement workflows across the USDS platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of complex operations leadership across IP, privacy, trust & safety, data protection, or equivalent legal operations.
• Bachelor's degree required; J.D., advanced degree, or privacy certification is a strong plus.
• Proven track record scaling IP or privacy functions with backlog remediation and process re-engineering.

Responsibilities

• Product-to-Operations bridge: define operational readiness with cross-functional teams before code ships.
• Intake and routing architecture for IP complaints, data requests, and appeals.
• Identify and remediate technical debt; modernize workflows with automation.
• Lead executive and crisis escalations; synthesize risk for leadership and counsel.
• Maintain high SLA execution across IP and Privacy queues with data-driven optimization.
• Refine SOPs and workflows to adapt to evolving copyright and privacy standards.
• Align with Legal, Policy, and Global counterparts on cross-border enforcement and decisions.
• Direct and mentor a multi-pillar team spanning IP and Privacy Operations.
• Foster a high-performance, mindful culture with focus on wellbeing and sustainable pacing.
