Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Patent Agent to join its Intellectual Property - Patents Practice. The role is hybrid and open to multiple locations, serving leading clients in emerging technologies.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics and 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution. Experience in data science, ML, AI, wireless, sensors, semiconductors, IoT or optics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in EE/CE/CS/Physics with excellent academic record.

• 2+ years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.

• Experience in data science, ML, AI, wireless, sensors, semiconductors, IoT, optics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technology areas.

• Perform novelty and clearance searches to delineate inventions from existing technologies.
•  
• Draft comprehensive patent applications and negotiate patent rights with the USPTO.
•  
• Prepare reports and support documentation for patent portfolio management.

A prominent international AmLaw 50 law firm is seeking a talented Patent Agent to join their Intellectual Property (IP) - Patents Practice. This position offers a unique opportunity to leverage scientific expertise in a dynamic legal environment, advising cutting-edge clients in the emerging technology sector.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics with an excellent academic record
• 2+ years of substantive experience in patent preparation and prosecution
• Experience in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, wireless communications, sensors, semiconductors, Internet of Things,optics, or related fields is highly advantageous
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and writing skills, with an exceptional attention to technical detail and effective organizational and communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Work with inventors and attorneys to prepare and prosecute patent applications in emerging technology areas
