Job summary

Brady is seeking an Intellectual Property Paralegal in Charlotte, North Carolina to provide day-to-day support to the IP Legal Team. You will assist with preparing legal documents, managing IP filings, and supporting patent prosecution efforts.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of IP paralegal experience, ABA-approved certification or equivalent, and strong docketing and document management skills, including IPfolio or Equinox.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as an IP Paralegal either in-house or at a law firm
• Paralegal certification or education and work experience approved by the ABA
• Proficiency filing patent applications, office action responses and correspondence with the USPTO
• Support global patent filings and prosecution including obtaining documents, translations, and monitoring timelines
• Experience maintaining docketing deadlines and portfolio management databases with data entry, docket review and report preparation for attorneys

Responsibilities

• Provide paralegal and administrative support to Brady’s IP Legal Team
• Respond to inquiries about Brady’s legal and IP processes
• Identify and drive system, program, and process improvements
• Drive Brady IP product review and patent prosecution processes
• Prepare legal documents and reports
• Manage intellectual property filings and docketing
