Job summary

A leading technology recruitment firm is seeking an IP Network Engineer in Virginia to manage growth and testing of IP and access networks. This role involves maintaining a technology lab, providing technical support, and ensuring compliance with network standards. The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Engineering or Computer Science and have experience with IP routing technologies and network design. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, along with proficiency in the MS Office suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with service provider routing and switching technologies, IP routing equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office and knowledge of fiber inventory management systems.
• Strong desire to learn and initiative in mastering new skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an RSB IP technology lab for testing and new technology evaluations.
• Provide support, manage tickets, and ensure proper design implementation.
• Publish network configuration standards and generate documentation for new technologies.
• Monitor IP network capacity and manage procurement timelines and vendor relations.
