A highly regarded boutique law firm is seeking a talented IP, Media & Entertainment Transactional Associate to join its growing New York office.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to build their career within a specialist practice advising clients across the intellectual property, media, entertainment and technology sectors.

The successful candidate will work on a broad range of sophisticated transactions for innovative businesses, creators, rights holders and emerging companies operating across the creative industries.

Offering significant responsibility, direct client exposure and high-quality work from day one, this role is ideal for a lawyer who enjoys being closely involved in deal-making and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The Role

You will support and lead transactions across a wide range of industries and content platforms, including:

  • Film and television
  • Streaming and digital media
  • Podcasts and audio content
  • Publishing
  • Theatre and live entertainment
  • Sports and promotional ventures
  • Marketing and advertising
  • Technology and digital products
  • Intellectual property licensing and exploitation
  • Commercial and corporate transactions

Working closely with partners and clients, you will play an active role in transactions from initial structuring through to negotiation, execution and post-completion matters.

Candidate Profile
  • Admission to the New York Bar (required)
  • Approximately 2-3 years of transactional legal experience

  • Excellent analytical and commercial judgement
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
